Sheila Laurenceau

Sheila Laurenceau is a seasoned educator and international education leader with more than 20 years of experience transforming classrooms and school communities. Known for her deeply inclusive approach, she has built a diverse career spanning middle school English Language Arts, special education, school administration, and global program leadership. Throughout it all, she has been driven by the belief that every student deserves a voice and that all children can learn. Ms. Laurenceau began her career in the classroom, blending her passion for travel, storytelling, and literacy with differentiated instruction. As a special education teacher, she developed individualized strategies that helped diverse learners build confidence in writing, critical thinking, and speaking.

Seeking to drive positive change on a larger scale, Ms. Laurenceau moved into school administration. As a vice principal, she oversaw curriculum alignment and fostered collaboration among teachers, parents, and support staff. Her impact later extended globally as she managed international curricula, intercultural exchange programs, and professional development workshops for educators in the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam. Today, Ms. Laurenceau continues to advocate for educational excellence at Norwood Elementary School, where she helps bridge the gap between local classroom needs and educational standards.
